Academic Programs
Our distinguished faculty
is drawn from a wide range of disciplines, including
History, Religious Studies, English, Dance, Ethnic Studies,
and Anthropology. Our students
conduct various research projects concerning
cultural patrimony, history, and sovereignty. Undergraduate
programs and opportunities are especially robust, and
include an active Native American
Students Program administered by Earl Sisto. The
Native American Studies program at UCR comprises more
than 40 courses distributed
across half a dozen departments. UCR’s degree
programs include a M.A. and Ph.D. in Native American
History, as well as a B.A. in Ethnic Studies with an
emphasis on Native American Studies. Return to this
